The making of a bead
Imagine, try, refine. Each stage brings the original idea a little closer to its finished form.

A memory of Paris, a shape, a colour: it all starts with an idea. We imagine the beads and pieces that will become our kawaii attachments.

We put the first shapes on paper. A sketch helps us work out the details and find the right proportions.

The drawing takes on volume in our modelling software. We prepare a piece that can be printed, painted and assembled.

We 3D-print the model in Paris, starting from a simple plastic filament. This is where the design first becomes a physical piece.

We paint each piece by hand in our Paris workshops. Its colours and details bring the design to life.

We bring the pieces together, choose the colours and assemble the creation. A final check by hand completes the process.

We start from a simple plastic filament, and everything else happens in Paris: design, drawing, modelling, printing, painting and assembly, by our team. We keep your project close, from the first trial to the finished piece.

Can you create a piece from our logo?
We explore your logo or idea to design a bead, charm or attachment that reflects your identity. The sketch, the 3D model and then a prototype help us refine the result together.
Where are LAB pieces made?
Our team carries out the design, drawing, 3D modelling, printing, hand painting and assembly in Paris. Raw materials, such as the plastic filament used for printing, are bought from specialist makers; they are transformed in Paris.
What quantity and lead time should we plan for?
Quantities and lead times depend on your project. We also produce and ship large quantities. Tell us what you need and your preferred date so we can discuss them with you.
Do you offer a prototype?
Yes. We first make a prototype for your approval, then the full production run. The terms are set out in the quote before work begins.
Can we meet the team?
Yes. We can meet you in person in Paris to talk about your project, as well as by email.
